Ep. 14: “Beer.” -or- “More Than The Sum…”: Sagamore Ale Cask Finished Rye and Fortaleza Reposado Winter Blend 2020

This week the boys bring two bottles that were aged in similar barrels: Beer barrels.  Drew brings the Fortaleza Reposado Winter Blend 2020 and Matt brings the Sagamore Ale Cask Finished Rye.  They both agree the presence of beer adds a lot to their favorite spirits.  And yet again, these are two bottles they won’t be drinking without the other, because as Matt points out, “they are more than the sum of their parts.”

Shawn introduces us to Tequila Primo 1861 Blanco, and its significance within the Camarena family. 
Jeff drops breaking news about PKGD Group’s evolving relationship with G4!  Shawn shares insight on the Confirmed Additive Free program, its importance, and its controversy.

Ep. 12: Happy Holidays: Willet Rye 4 Year Cask Strength Small Batch Whiskey and Grand Mayan Ultra Aged 5 Year Extra Anejo

Ep. 11: It’s About Damn Time: Colonel E.H. Taylor Small Batch and Fortaleza Blanco

Have you ever looked back on a project and said: “What took so long?”  That is this episode.
The boys bring two of their favorite bottles—the bottles that all other bottles are judged against.  Matt shares The Colonel E.H. Taylor Small Batch and Drew brings Fortaleza Blanco.  And they both agree: It’s about damn time!
Matt tells us all about the colorful character and innovator that was The Colonel E.H. Taylor, and especially the first piece of food legislation in the US: The Bottled in Bond Act of 1897.  (We had whiskey legislation before we had the USDA or FDA!)
Drew tells a few stories about Fortaleza, suggests everyone checks out The Agave Social Club podcast for more history, and we review the Taste Tequila / Tequila Matchmaker Confirmed Additive Free program.

Ep. 10: 2 Damn Hyped: Buffalo Trace Bourbon and Patron Silver Tequila

Today, the Boys bring two bottles with plenty of hype: 
Buffalo Trace Bourbon is so hyped that you can’t find it anywhere.
Patron Silver Tequila is so hyped that you can find it literally everywhere.
Matt recalls regretful (ragretful?) fashion choices of the early 90’s as Drew predicts Kanye’s downfall a full two weeks before it happened.
The Boys try something new and record this one early morning, because they double down on the hype with a special cocktail mixer that qualifies as breakfast food.  And this is one time the cocktails make the show!

This week the boys bring two great finds: The Bulleit Bourbon Single Barrel (a Malloy's store pick) and Pasote Anejo from NOM 1579.
Matt lets us behind the curtain of a barrel pick and introduces us to an incredibly creepy Uncle.
Drew drops a Golden Girls reference that 3 people will get while Matt flexes his 780 verbal score.
We review really bad movies that, for some reason, we can't stop watching.
Oh, and we find endless Pumpkin and Orange Marmalade flavors when we QuickSip™ these delicious, glorious bottles.

Ep 8: The Cognac Cask Caper: The Glenlivet 14 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky and Tequila Ocho Anejo Continental Barrel Select

This week, the boys continue with more finished spirits. Episode 8 features Glenlivet 14 and Tequila Ocho Continental, two great sippers that are aged in Cognac Casks.  Matt brings a surprise bottle to prime the taste buds, and the QuickSip™ reveals that it's hard to top perfection.
The Glenlivet is readily available, the Ocho Continental is out there, but you have to hunt around.  Two great bottles that are worth the time, money, and effort!

Ep. 7: Sherry Baby: Sexton, Legent, Glendronach 12 and Patron Anejo Sherry Cask

Sherry, Sherry Baby...  The boys go all-in on Sherry Cask Aging!  Matt brings 3 "Sherry Bomb" Whiskeys: Sexton Single Malt Irish Whiskey, Legent Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, and Glendronach 12 Year Single Malt Scotch, and Drew brings the once-per-four-years release 2021 Patron Anejo Sherry Cask (still available on the shelves, but you have to look around).

Ep 6: Hunting Treasures: Heaven Hill Bottled in Bond and El Tesoro Olive Oil Platinum

This week the boys share some trophies found during their hunting expedition in The 'Burbs.  They had to Castaway 79 minutes of a Big Tom Hanks tangent- basically a Green Mile of movie Geekdom.  This created an Inferno of abrupt audio cuts.  But don't worry, in a future episode these two Ladykillers will be sure to Post a long Toy Story from Splash to Pinocchio with plenty of great Punchline(s).
